MUMBAI : Adani Group company ADNL has got the Integrated Telecom License. Now, Adani Data Networks Limited (ADNL) is eligible to offer long distance calls and internet services on its network. In this regard, an official source said, “Adani Data Networks has received UL (AS) license.” Another official said that this license was issued on Monday. However, no official statement has come from Adani Group in this regard.
Adani Group had entered the country’s telecom sector by purchasing spectrum in the recent auction. At that time the company had said that it would use this spectrum for business activities within the group. ADNL had purchased 400 MHz spectrum for Rs 212 crore for 20 years in the recently held 5G spectrum auction.
An integrated license for access services has been granted to Adani Data Networks Limited (ADNL). Through this license the company can provide all types of telecom services in the country. Sources familiar with this development said that after getting this license, the company can expand its 5G services in future. Adani’s entry will pose a new challenge to companies like Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea.
