UTTAR PRADESH : The government has declared three days of state mourning in UP on the death of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mulayam Singh’s last rites will be performed today in Saifai. Meanwhile, CM Yogi spoke to Akhilesh Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav on phone and expressed his condolences. Mulayam Singh Yadav breathed his last at 8.16 am on Monday morning at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. 82 year old Mulayam Singh was suffering from diseases like blood pressure and urine infection for almost 2 years. Mulayam’s last rites will be performed at the fair ground, 500 meters away from where Mulayam’s house is in Saifai. For this, preparations continued in the field throughout the night.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are also reaching Saifai after leaving Bharat Jodo Yatra. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is also scheduled to visit Saifai on October 12. The mortal remains of Mulayam Singh Yadav will be kept in the exhibition pandal in the morning for the last darshan. And his last rites will be performed with state honors at 3 pm. The Council of Ministers meeting chaired by CM Yogi paid tribute to Mulayam Singh Yadav. PM Narendra Modi is reaching Saifai directly from Gujarat on Tuesday to attend his funeral. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, SubhaSP National President Omprakash Rajbhar, JDU leader KC Tyagi and UP Congress President Brijlal Khabri will also reach Saifai to attend the last rites.
On Monday, CM Yogi, Cabinet Minister Swatantradev Singh and BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary reached Saifai and paid tribute to Mulayam Singh Yadav. CM Yogi also consoled Akhilesh Yadav during this period. Mulayam Singh’s mortal remains reached Saifai on Monday. During this time people gathered for the last darshan. As soon as the news of Netaji’s death was received, the entire Saifai was immersed in grief. The people of his village gathered outside his house. The last rites of SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav will be performed at the fair ground, 500 meters away from his house. Preparations have started on the field. On the other hand, after reaching Mathura Toll Plaza on Yamuna Expressway, his convoy remained stopped at Vrindavan Cut for about 10 minutes due to technical fault in the hearse.
