MUMBAI: <\/strong><\/span>The path ahead for probationary IAS (IAS) Pooja Khedkar, who has come under the scanner, is becoming difficult. Additional Secretary of DOPT Manoj Dwivedi has started an investigation on the complaints received against her, this investigation will be completed in two weeks. According to sources, if she is found guilty, she can also be dismissed. Not only this, if the allegations of hiding facts and misrepresentation against her are found to be true, then criminal action can also be taken.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Pune City Traffic Police has also sent a notice to Pooja Khedkar. This notice has been sent in the matter of installing a red light on a private vehicle and writing Maharashtra Government on the vehicle. During the investigation, the police found her Audi car registered in the name of a private engineering company. There are 21 complaints of violation of traffic rules against this vehicle. A fine of Rs 27,000 has also been imposed on it.<\/p>\n

The notice sent by the traffic police to Pooja Khedkar reads, “You are informed by this letter that as per the information received, it has been found that the private four-wheeler of Andy Company bearing registration number MH12AR7000 has Maharashtra Government written on the front and back. Legal action has been taken against the said private vehicle under section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act and it has been observed that punitive action has been taken against the said vehicle for violating traffic rules. The said currency is also seen pending without payment of settlement fee. We have received information that you are using the said private vehicle. However, it should be noted that the said private vehicle should be presented to the Chatthangi Transport Department along with the necessary documents for further legal inspection.”<\/p>\n

Along with Pooja, her entire family is also in the circle of controversies. It is alleged that Pooja’s father Dilip Khedkar made property worth crores of rupees while being in a government job. He bought land at many places from that. The Khedkar family has bought 25 acres of land in Mulshi taluka of Pune district. They also tried to occupy the lands of neighboring farmers and when these farmers opposed it, Pooja Khedkar’s mother Manorama Khedkar reached there with bouncers and threatened the farmers with a pistol in her hand.<\/p>\n

Puja Khedkar has property worth 25 crores<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the documents, Pooja Khedkar’s personal property is Rs 25 crores. There are two plots in Pune in Pooja’s name. The price of both is between Rs 6 to 8 crores. Apart from this, there is 4 hectares of land in Pune, which is worth Rs 3 to 4 crores. There are two lands worth about one crore rupees and 25 lakh rupees in Ahmednagar district. There is a flat worth Rs 45 lakh in Ahmednagar itself and a flat worth about Rs 75 lakh in Pune. This detail of Pooja Khedkar’s property is based on the information given on 28 January 2023.<\/p>\n

Pooja Khedkar said on this whole matter that I am not allowed to speak on this matter, I will put my point in front of the constituted committee.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, when these farmers tried to lodge a complaint at Paud Police Station in Pune, even their simple complaint was not registered due to pressure from above. In such a situation, questions also arise that who supports this Khedkar family? Why has Pune Police not taken any action till now?<\/p>\n

Navi Mumbai Police has also submitted a report to the Home Department against Pooja Khedkar. It states that Pooja had allegedly pressurized Navi Mumbai Police for the release of her relative arrested in the steel theft case. She had called a DCP of Navi Mumbai Police in May, which means Pooja Khedkar is now completely cornered.<\/p>\n

On the whole matter, IAS and DAOAF’s honorary president K Mahesh said that not one but many allegations are being leveled against Pooja Khedkar. She is also accused of taking advantage of the non-creamy layer by lying. The SDM who issued the OBC certificate for her should also be questioned. On the other hand, after her father contested the election and the disclosure of his property, it is being said that he has property worth crores.
