NAGPUR: On Dussehra, arms worship was done at Nagpur, the headquarters of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Maharashtra. During this, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat raised the issue of population imbalance, citing examples from around the world. He said, population needs resources. If it grows without increasing the resources, it will become a burden. No country has 57 crore youth. Along with population control, population balance on religious basis is also very important, which cannot be ignored. He said, if it is used properly, it is also a means. It is also an asset. Our neighboring country China has become old. But we have to understand the idea, India needs a population control law. During this, he also discussed many important issues including women empowerment. The policy should be implemented equally on everyone. If something is beneficial, then the society accepts it easily. But where one has to give it up for the country, then there is a little problem.
The RSS chief clearly said that a comprehensive policy should be made regarding population and no one should be exempted from it. Bhagwat gave the example of countries like Kosovo and South Sudan, which came into existence due to imbalance of religion in the population. Bhagwat said, geographical boundaries also change due to imbalance of population. During this, he also listed the reasons for the imbalance. He said, apart from the difference in birth rate, forced, lured or tempted conversion and infiltration are also big reasons for this.
